Who Says?

I've got something that's weighing heavily on my heart. In the last week, I've heard news of two different girls who attempted to take their own lives - one succeeded. Has the world lost it's hope? Are things so destitute that we feel the only way is to turn the lights out? Maybe no one has told these people that there is One Hope - that we are loved by the Creator of the Universe. I just recently wrote a song called, "Who Says?". In this song, the question is asked: "Who says you're beautiful? Who says you're valuable? Who tells you it all will be alright? So how would you know?" Let me reassure you. God made each and every one of us special. We're all beautiful in His eyes. We're all worth something! If no one has ever told you that, let it be known to you right now that you are special, and God loves you so much!
Blessings!

Bonjour David, J'ai découvert ta chanson « Who says?

I heard your song'Who Says' today for the first song. The words touched me deeply. I have a Grand-daughter who has fallen into the chasm of drug addiction. She was once a sweet, gentle, loving, kind soul. Addiction to meth has changed her so much. She use to sing all the time and her laughter was so joyful. She has changed so drastically. She rarely smiles and she never sings. The light has gone out of her. Every time I see her it breaks my heart and I just want to hold her and protect her. We, her family, let her know she is still part of our family and that we love her unconditionally. We do, however, refuse to do anything in anyway that will enable her addiction. It too us a long time before we realized she is no longer the Katy we remember and we accept that fact. I personally cling to a hope that or Katy is still somewhere deep inside her. I don't know if we are being unrealistic in hoping that if she can hit rock bottom she'll reach out for help. We are realistic enough to know that right now she is the only one who can take the first step toward recovery. Until she does we can only love her and let her know we do. She knows she is still welcome to share our family activities. We won't give her money or buy her gifts that can be sold for money. Everyday and night I pray and pray and pray. I am a strong believer in the power of prayer. Many time my prayers have been answered. God has gotten me through some very traumatic times in my life. I know He is always with me and my family. I know He is with Katy. I also know He will bring her back to us and lead her to recovery from the addiction that holds her so tightly in its clutches. I know God's power is omnipotent and I believe anything is possible if we have faith and pray. I am asking you to add Katy Rose of Medicine Hat Canada to your prayers. I am also asking you to pray that her sisters and her Mom and step-Dad will be led to live their lives in God. Thank you in advance for you prayers and for listening to me. God bless you. Betty
